Platinum Corporate Benefit Package
All the features of the Essential Plus Benefit Package but with the inclusion of Property and Affairs Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA). An LPA is a legal document which allows you to appoint someone you trust to take over your affairs when you are unable or just require assistance. Whatever your situation, here is why a LPA is important.
Home ownership – if you hold your property as tenants in common with your partner or spouse then you would be unable to sell the property if you or your partner became incapacitated unless and LPA was in place.
Bills and bank accounts – If your utilities, phone and internet for example are in a sole name your partner/spouse will not be able to access these accounts to deal with any issues, the same applies to bank accounts unless an LPA is in place.
Planning – You never know what may happen in the future. What happens if you are incapacitated? Would there be family disputes?
Avoid court fees – Applying to the court of protection to appoint a deputy if an LPA is not in place is a costly process when taking into account all court and solicitor fees. The current costs are approximately £4,000 as well as being a lengthy process.
